The deadline for individuals to file their tax returns this year falls on Tuesday April 30th 2024.
If you or your spouse earned business income in 2023 then your tax return is due June 17th 2024. Normally this would be June 15th, but since June 15 falls on a Saturday, your return isn’t due until the next business day.
It is important to note that whether self employed or not, taxes owing are still due April 30th 2024 even though the actual filing of the return is not due until June 17th 2024.
The earliest you will be able to file your income tax and benefit return for 2022 is February 20th 2024, but that does not mean you can't get things in order leading up to the end of February!
